Christian Homemaking

Shhh! God Doesn't Want You to Talk About Sex
The Principal at Bishop Blanchet High School has made the news for censoring one of his journalism students. Senior Ryan Dunn wrote an editorial for the school paper ('The Miter'), arguing for more comprehensive sex education. Now the principal is nervous that allowing such filth to run in the paper will upset the church and the parochial school’s teachers will pay the price. The Miter’s homepage claims that it “offers all students a public forum to exercise their freedom of speech.” However, teens inquiring about sex ed in any areas other than abstinence is clearly off limits (Exodus 19:15 “Abstain from sexual relations.").
This is a morality issue and it’s our job as Christians to control our children’s morality. We all know the Bible promises serious consequences for children who don’t respect their parents’ churchly teachings: “The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.” (Proverbs 30:17). You don’t want your child’s eye to be picked out and eaten by young eagles, do you?
If it weren’t for censorship, these teens would be turning into pillars of salt left and right for their perverse sexual curiosity. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? God has plans for each and every one of them, and that plan does not include abortions, drug orgies, or penis-touching with Jeff Goldbum—all of which will happen the moment your children learn about condom use. Praise Bishop Blanchet High School! May they light God’s path to a new golden age of church-led censorship, book burnings, and maybe even an Inquisition or two.
